Xiaomi’s Mijia Portable Electric Heating Cup 2 is a real China-market product, but it is not a new August 2026 launch. Xiaomi put it on sale in China on September 15, 2023, at a reported price of 149 yuan—roughly $20 at the exchange rate used in launch coverage. It is a compact 350 mL, mains-powered heating cup with temperature control, not a confirmed cordless kettle.
Xiaomi continues to list the product on its China shopping site, but the available evidence does not establish current stock, an international launch, or a U.S. version.
What the Mijia Portable Electric Heating Cup 2 is
The product is best understood as a small electric heating vessel that can warm water and maintain a selected temperature while connected to mains power. Its “portable” description refers mainly to its compact size. Available launch information does not establish that it has a rechargeable battery, supports USB or power-bank operation, or can heat water wirelessly.
That distinction matters. It may suit a hotel room, office, dormitory, or other location with a compatible wall outlet, but it should not be treated like a battery-powered travel thermos or cordless kettle.

The available product information does not expose a definitive model-specific manual or exact button sequence, so buyers should not rely on generic instructions for controls, cleaning, immersion, or descaling.

What 149 yuan means for buyers
The reported 149-yuan price was the China launch price in September 2023. The frequently quoted “$20” is an approximate currency conversion, not an official international price.

Electrical compatibility is the key import question
Before buying an imported appliance, check the rating label and manual for input voltage, frequency, power requirements, and plug type. A plug adapter changes the physical connection; it does not convert voltage. If the cup is not rated for the electrical supply where it will be used, a simple travel adapter is not enough, and an unsuitable converter may be unsafe or incompatible.
Do not assume that a China-market listing will work in the United States, elsewhere in North America, or any other country until the electrical rating is confirmed. Also check who handles warranty claims and returns. A local Xiaomi service network may not support an imported China-market model.

The reported venting membrane and pressure-relief valve are intended to manage steam and pressure during heating, but they are not a guarantee that every use condition is safe.

- Do not overfill the cup.
- Keep the vent and pressure-relief path unobstructed.
- Do not seal or modify the vessel while heating unless the official instructions explicitly permit it.
- Handle hot liquid and steam carefully, and do not open or move the cup carelessly when hot.
- Keep the electrical base, connector, and cable away from water.
- Do not leave it heating unattended overnight unless the manual specifically allows that use.
- Do not treat “316L stainless steel” as proof that every liquid-contacting component is made from that material.
Air-travel suitability should also not be assumed. Airline rules can separately affect heating appliances, plugs, batteries, and liquids, and the available evidence does not establish that this product is approved for use during a flight.

Its temperature range, vacuum insulation, and one-person capacity may be useful, but the product’s low domestic price should not obscure its limitations. International buyers should treat it as a corded import, verify voltage and frequency before ordering, calculate the full landed cost, and confirm return and warranty support with the seller.
